I remember that when I was at senior high
school, I always looked forward to the day which I could finally leave my
parents and live independently. I eagerly wanted to go to Taipei to have a
wonderful university freshman life just because I didn’t get along well with my
parents. However, I had never left my home for such long time before I came to
college, and it is totally different from I thought to live without parents.
When I live at school, it is hard to eat
food cooked as well as my dad does. Therefore, when I go home on weekends, he
usually cooks fabulous delicacy to welcome me. And my mom and dad came Taipei to
see me this week, I was very sick then, and they brought me back to Taichung to
see a doctor and to have enough rest. That really makes me feel very warm and miss
my parents more.
I have left home when I was fifteen because I had to go to Magong to study senior high school. I once wanted to live dependently too, but it's not because I don't want to be with them, it's just because I wanted to be an adult as soon as possible and wanted to see that if I can take good care of myself. My older second sister once told me that "One day when you leave home, you will realize how precious our parents are!" And after I left home, I do realize what she was talking about. I think, in the world, no one can treat us so nice and want no repay except family members, so we shoud also treat them like that.
