To adjust

There are too many things we cannot control by ourselves. To me, the most annoying one is the reaction of my body to a different environment.

My hometown is Taichung, a place praised as “the California of Taiwan;” however, NCCU is located in the humidest zone, Muzha. I really have not adapted to such cold and wet weather here yet, and it will make my nose feel terrible. QAQ

Living in a dorm is also a big challenge for me. Although I have lived in my dorm room for one and a half month, there are still many brand new things for me to adjust to. For example, I have to share a room with three girls whom we didn’t know one another before we became roommates. Getting familiar with new friends isn't hard for me, but knowing other well enough to live with them, is totally different, it takes time.

Hope I can relax as soon as possible! :^)

  1. I come from Taichung, too. So I have the same feeling as yours. I can hardly adapt to the weather in Mucha, because the climate here is not as mild as that in Taichung. Originally it was raining, all of a sudden, it became sunny. I am very allergic, due to the strong temperature between day and night, I keep sneezing and blowing my nose. I really hate this situation. Though I think it may take me lots of time to get used to it, I will do my best to adapt the environment and overcome the inconvenience.

  2. Oh poor Evelyn, I hope you can adapt to this new environment as soon as possible. I know it is hard, but I am willing to assist you when in need. Besides, I live in Taipei for eighteen years, so I cordialy welcome you to ask me any question about Taipei. Just as which restaurant is nice, where is the best place to shopping, and where is the good place to have a little adventure. Moreover, just be optmistic and aggressive! I believe you can tide over every challenge as it comes.
