When I was a senior high school student, I
always thought that time seemed to be passing faster and faster. High school
teachers told us that the twelfth grade would be the fastest year in our lives,
and we could relax and enjoy time after we entered a wonderful university. Nonetheless,
the truth is that I think I was just like an idiot being fooled by my high school teacher.
For instance, one of the differences
between college and high school is that we can decide our own curriculum. I
used to regard it as a perfect chance to have free time to hang around with
friends or do things I love, like going clubs or something else. However, the
homework in college is totally different to that in high school. We have to
spend a lot of time discussing with our group members just to present a single
report. Therefore, even if it seems that we have plenty of time to use, we
still have little time to be control by ourselves only.
I think, maybe it is just a process that
life must pass through. After all, the words given by others do not always fit
our need; we have to try and feel step by step. Advice is something can lighten
our road, but we will never know what we would bump into until we walk through.
So, I think it takes time to keep trying, haha! :)
Hello Evelyn. My teachers in senior high school and junior high school also told me that, and I think what they said were just something encouraged us to study! In university, I find I have to read more and more books and the library almost becomes my second house. I need to pay more attention on my work. However, I think the difference in university is we can choose what we want to learn and what kinds of life we want to lead to. “Busier we are, more time we have.” It means when we are busy, we need to arrange our time and become efficient. I think we can adapt to our college’s life gradually. Cheer up!
ReplyDeleteTime is always the thing that confusing me. Sometimes it seems to be past slowly, but most times it flies like an arrow. And I think what you say is actually right. Since I was at junior high school, my Chinese teacher told us, how wonderful college is, and how happy he was. So, I also had a fairy dream about college. But just like what you say, it turned out to be many differences with what we have imagined. So many reports and everything are different from my prior life. Leaving my hometown also makes me feel so lonely, I miss the sea, the sky, the fresh air, and the people there. But all these are getting better than few months ago. Anyway, no matter what, we have to try not to be worry and do the best.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in my senior high, lots of seniors told that “oh! College life is amazing! Oh! You can play for four years long” and so on. Not until I enter college die I realize that they were totally wrong! College life is even busier, busier and busier than before. We have to learn how to control our free time, learn how to arrange our own lesson schedule, learn how to make the best choice for us from a lot of them in front of you. I had felt confused for several times about my life in NCCU, I know that it is a process of life, we have to face it and be better. So, let’s have a better and better life in NCCU next semester! I know we can make it^_______^
